"En la lucha y en la sombra: Relaciones entre mujeres y hombres en el Movimiento Sin Tierra de Ceará"

Resumen
Este artículo es una pequeña aproximación a la cuestión de género en el “Movimento Sem Terra” – MST en el estado de Ceará (Brasil), que permite observar algunos hechos diferenciales de dirigentes del Movimiento en cuanto mujeres y su relación con los
hombres.
La etnografía es la principal fuente, puesto que utilizo el testimonio de ocho mujeres recogido en el trabajo de campo que realicé durante más de un mes a finales del año 2000 en Ceará, Brasil. Este trabajo formó parte de la investigación realizada y presentada como Tesina del Máster de Antropología Social y Cultural de la UAB. El artículo es un extracto de uno de los capítulos de dicha tesina.
Abstract
This article explores the relationships between men and women within the "Movimento Sem Terra" (MST) in the state of Ceara (Brazil) through the activities developed in the champs and settlements of the organization. This analysis shows how the role of leaders in these activities is structured by gender differences.
Ethnography is the main source of information, specially the testimonies of eight women during one month during the year 2000 in a MST champ. This work is part of the research done during the master thesis of the Social and Cultural Anthropology at
the UAB.
